Accessibility declaration

FIZ Karlsruhe – Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure makes every effort to make its Internet presence www.fiz-karlsruhe.de, including its product pages, accessible without barriers. The legal basis is the German Act on Equal Opportunities for the Disabled (BGG) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) as amended from time to time.

Status of compliance with the requirements

This Internet presence is partially compliant with BITV 2.0 due to the points mentioned below. The BITV test was carried out as a self-assessment. The test steps have been largely fulfilled. The remaining points are still being worked on.

FIZ Karlsruhe is making continuous improvements. Still existing deficiencies will be corrected in the near future.

Conciliation procedure

The Federal Government Commissioner for the Interests of Persons with Disabilities has an arbitration board according to § 16 BGG. The conciliation office has the task of resolving conflicts between people with disabilities and federal public bodies.

You can call on the conciliation office if you are not satisfied with the answers from the above-mentioned contact option. It is not about finding winners or losers. Rather, the aim is to find a solution to a problem together and out of court with the help of the conciliation office.

The conciliation procedure is free of charge. You do not need legal counsel, either.

You will find all information on the conciliation procedure on the website of the conciliation office. There you will learn how a conciliation procedure works and how to submit a request for conciliation. You can also submit the request in easy language or in German sign language.
